Of course it is a favour, no one here is paid to identify your furniture. No one stands to benefit other than you. Perhaps exercising some patience and waiting for another post, would have served you better than writing off the forum. It certainly made me less inclined to help you.

Stratford House of Fine Furnishings sounds like a furniture store to me, and as such doesn't offer any clues to the origins of a piece. You need to post photos if you want an ID, and even then you might not get one. Or you might get one a month from now or five years from now--that's just how it goes here! It's a relatively slow-moving forum and the regular participants might not have any idea what you have but someone in the future may happen to come across your query in an internet search and post the info you're looking for. You may not need it anymore by then but it might help someone else. Posts do not scroll off or get deleted on DA. That's part of what makes it such a great source of information.
As for Aunt Mark, he's a long time regular who is well-loved by most (all?), plus he shares recipes and has a smashing pants collection. Worth getting to know!

I also would like to thank you for the wake-up call. Participants of this wonderful forum are expected to conduct themselves like ladies and gentleman...and I fell far short of that requirement.
